Unlike other investment firms, Vulcan Capital is not limited by traditional deal structures, asset classes or holding periods, and as a result, can invest in public and private companies through a wide range of securities with flexible investment horizons of up to 10 years or more.

The firm has no defined limits on transaction size but generally targets direct equity investments of $25 million to $250 million or more, as well as select smaller venture investments.

As part of a broader diversification strategy for Vulcan Inc., Vulcan Capital also forms general and limited partnerships with fund managers who invest outside the firm's primary areas of expertise.
